Welcome to Earlwood Public School

At Earlwood Public School, we have a rich history of over 109 years of education, proudly serving our local community and providing a high-quality education to students from Kindergarten through Year 6.

The "Lamp of Knowledge" on a school crest represents the importance of learning and education. It symbolizes how knowledge lights the way, helping students understand new things, solve problems, and make good choices. The lamp reminds everyone at the school to keep learning and growing throughout their lives.

Guided by our school motto—Courtesy, Loyalty, and Courage— and by our school's expectations to be safe, be respectful and be a leaner, we strive to create a caring and respectful community where students develop strong values as well as academic skills.

Principal's message

Welcome to Earlwood Public School, a proud and dynamic learning community located in South West Sydney. We are committed to delivering a high-quality, well-rounded education that nurtures academic achievement, personal growth, and student wellbeing. With over 600 students from diverse cultural backgrounds, we celebrate multiculturalism as a strength and proudly offer inclusive programs such as the Greek Community Language program, EAL/D support, and classes tailored to student needs, including our Opportunity Classes and physical support unit.

Our students thrive in an environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and creativity. They are supported by a dedicated, experienced team of educators who value every learner’s potential. Beyond the classroom, students engage in a wide range of extracurricular activities such as sport, STEM, the arts, leadership, and environmental initiatives, supporting the development of the whole child.

We are a school with both a proud history and a strong vision. While we honour more than 109 years of tradition, our Strategic Excellence Plan sets a clear direction for continued growth in student achievement, differentiated teaching, and wellbeing. We believe learning should be fun and purposeful, where students feel safe, challenged, and inspired. We aim to equip every learner not only with knowledge but also with the skills, values, and confidence to thrive. Our school is a place where each student’s voice is heard, their talents are nurtured, and their future success is created through partnership between home and school.
