Community involvement
Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
ESPA(Earlwood School Parent Association) is a group of parents and community members that works with the school to share the views and needs of families and the community. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering.
What we do
- Uniform shop: We run the uniform shop, making it easy for families to purchase school uniforms at affordable prices within our school grounds. All proceeds from uniform sales are reinvested in the school to support the purchase of resources and learning materials for our students.
- Fundraising: We organise various fundraising events throughout the year to support school programs, resources, and facilities. These funds contribute to educational resources, extracurricular activities, and community events.
- Community engagement: ESPA facilitates connections between families, teachers, and the school, ensuring that everyone has a voice in our school community.
- Support for school initiatives: We collaborate with school leadership to identify areas where the P&C can provide assistance, whether through funding, volunteer support for ESPA events, or organising school events.
- Social events: We host events to strengthen community ties and foster relationships among families, such as welcome BBQ , Disco nights, Mother's and Father's Day breakfast etc.
Get Involved
Why join ESPA?
Becoming a member doesn’t require any commitment, it simply demonstrates your support for the P&C and helps maintain open communication between the P&C and families. It also grants you the right to vote at our meetings if you choose to participate.
Your involvement can make a significant difference in our school community. Whether you can commit to attending meetings, volunteering at events, or simply sharing your ideas, every contribution is valuable.
A great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
