School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school event may include:

Harmony day
When: 21 March
On Harmony day, our school comes together to celebrate cultural diversity and inclusiveness. Students participate in a range of activities that promote respect, understanding, and a sense of belonging for everyone. Through art, music, storytelling, and shared experiences, we embrace the richness of our diverse community and reinforce the values of harmony and acceptance.
P&C meeting
When: Week 3 and 7 every term
Join our vibrant ESPA(Earlwood School Parent Association) promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students, and teaching staff close co-operation and assist by fundraising for the school. Meetings are held twice a term. Parents and carers are welcome to attend.
NAIDOC week
When: July
Our school proudly celebrates NAIDOC Week to honour the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through special activities and learning experiences, students deepen their understanding and respect for Indigenous cultures and stories.
Open day
When: early August
School open day is an opportunity for students, parents and carers to get to know our school.
Join us at Earlwood Public School for our Open Day during Education Week! This is a fantastic opportunity for families and community members to explore our school and learn about the great programs and activities we offer.
Book week
When: August
Book Week is a special time at our school when we all come together to celebrate our love of reading. Some of the highlights include our annual book parade, where students dress up as their favourite book characters. Our school community are warmly invited to join us and enjoy the parade.
Performance day
When: September
Performance Day is a vibrant celebration of our students’ talents in music, drama, and dance. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and hard work in front of family, friends, and the school communiy.

Carnivals
When: Our school calendar shows carnival events
School Carnivals are fun sports events where students in Year 3 to 6 compete in athletics, swimming, and cross country at various venues. K-2 also participate in a sports day at school. They promote teamwork, fitness, and school spirit. Parents are welcome to come and support their children.
R U OK?
When: September
A national day of action dedicated to reminding everyone to ask, "Are you okay?" This event encourages meaningful conversations that can help support mental wellbeing in our school community. Take a moment to check in with our school community at our annual RUOK breakfast organised in partnership with our wellbeing staff team, ESPA and local wellbeing community organisations.
Presentation Day
When: December
Presentation Day is a special event where we celebrate the achievements of our students throughout the year. Awards are given to recognise academic excellence, effort, sportsmanship, and contributions to school life. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students, staff, and families to come together and celebrate success.
