How to apply for opportunity classes

Our school offers Opportunity Classes for high-potential and gifted students in Years 5 and 6. Enrolment is by application and provides a challenging and supportive learning environment to help students reach their full potential.

How to apply for our opportunity class

Opportunity classes are one of the ways that the department supports high potential and gifted students. These are students who learn faster and more easily than others.

It is a two-year program from Year 5 to 6. Parents and carers cannot apply for Year 6 placement only.

You can apply even if our school is outside your local enrolment area. Enrolment is by application only. Students must sit the placement test to be offered a place.

We offer an equal number of places for girls and boys. Learn more at Gender parity model
