Training and concert bands offer students the chance to develop their musical skills, teamwork, and confidence through group performances. Students learn to play a variety of instruments, participate in rehearsals, and perform at school events and concerts for parents and the school community. These bands provide a supportive environment where students can grow as musicians, showcase their talents, and enjoy the joy of making music together. Our students are also provided with the opportunity to perform with other schools in a combined band performance throughout the year.

Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication, and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 participate in class and grade-level public speaking competitions, providing a structured opportunity to practice and refine their skills. Those who demonstrate strong potential may have the chance to represent the school in local and state-level events, further developing their confidence and leadership abilities. These experiences also encourage critical thinking, persuasive reasoning, and active listening. Additionally, debating and public speaking enable students to engage with diverse audiences and contribute meaningfully to discussions within the wider community, fostering a sense of civic awareness and responsibility.

Student voice
Student leadership empowers young people to express their views, make decisions, and understand their rights and responsibilities as active community members.
We believe it is important for students to share their thoughts and ideas...
